Someone has planned the heist, so what are they intending to steal and why? The Big Heist is a slot game based on that idea, so we’ll soon see whether this is a heist you’d want to be part of. Of course, as this is a slot game, there’s no danger of being arrested! Let’s check out the details and find out more about the heist here.
Another game from a big brand in gaming
You’ll surely have heard of Realtime Gaming. You might know the letters RTG, and The Big Heist is one of their efforts.
Not sure whether The Big Heist is for you?
Relax – you can load the practice version and find out more about it, just to see if you like it enough to play the real thing.
It’s based on an obvious theme
We’ve seen this one done elsewhere, too, and the bank heist theme is back in this game as well.
Expect the usual elements in this design
Some of them, anyway – you might guess a gun would make it onto the reels… but what about some donuts? We’re not sure whether the cops are eating those before they try and catch the criminals or whether the criminals are eating them as they raid the bank!
Load and play The Big Heist – here’s what to expect
If you were expecting five reels, take two off that total… this is a three-reel game. You’ll see a progressive jackpot though, so that’s reassuring to know. We’ve got the usual one-armed bandit appearance for this one as well.
You won’t find any special icons during play, other than the safe dial… and we’ll explain more about that shortly.
Play on one payline
No multiples to think about in this slot game.
Can you play this as a penny slot game?
No, as the smallest coin is five cents. You can choose to play one, two, or three coins on the payline, and there are other values as well, with $5 per coin the most you can play.
The paytable is always in view
Just look up slightly and you’ll see it displayed in the top part of the slot machine design.
Can you reach the bonus round?
Yes, The Big Heist does have one! The game comes with a safe counter, so you can guess you need to watch for – and collect – the safe dials to add them to that counter. When you’ve found 50 of them, the bonus begins. Unfortunately, we didn’t manage to get that far, and the game doesn’t reveal any details of what will happen if you do.
However, we can tell you that the bonus has another trigger as well. This one is an instant trigger, and you’ll need one of the safe dials landing in every spot on the payline to reach it. If you manage to reach the bonus in this manner, whatever you receive in coins in the bonus round is going to be worth 10x that amount.
What about free spins?
The game doesn’t have any, sadly.
No RTP supplied
There will be one, of course, but we recommend you look at the casino offering the game to see if you can learn more there.
Our rating: Is The Big Heist worthy of a top score?
We liked the collection feature for those safe dials, and the instant trigger. However, with no wilds or other features involved, it’s not going to go higher than seven points out of 10.
How can you scoop the progressive jackpot?
Let’s be clear – the odds are certainly against the players here. However, if you’re playing the real game and you see three police shields land on the reels – while playing three coins – you’ll get the jackpot.
Entertaining enough to play the demo for a while
You can stick to the demo to see how you fare in the game – and play it long enough to reach 50 dials to find out what the bonus holds in store, too.
Real play available from 15 cents per play
That’s the minimum spin wager here, so make sure you’re happy with it before you get underway.
Can you play The Big Heist on mobile?
We’re not convinced you can, as we didn’t see it at any RTG mobile casinos.
